RAW MATERIAL AREA

Litsea Cubeba is a small tree, about 5-8m tall, growing wild among many other types of trees concentrated in the northern mountains, in the provinces of Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Ha Giang…

In recent years, many fruits have been harvested to distill essential oils. However, due to distribution characteristics, harvesting is done by local workers with rudimentary tools.

HARVEST

The fruit harvest season is July-August and November-December every year; which mainly concentrates in July-August. The fruit grows scattered in the mountains, so farmers have to cut off all the branches before harvesting the fruit separately. When the fruit changes color from green to purple, it has the highest essential oil content.

DISTILLATION OF ESSENTIAL OIL

The distillation equipment uses steam distillation technology and heating through a large capacity boiler.

The condenser uses beam tube condenser technology, ensuring maximum efficiency. Each ton of fresh Asparagus fruit yields about 25-30kg of essential oil.

APPLICATION OF ESSENTIAL OIL IN PRODUCTION

Food industry: Mang tang is also known as Son Tieu (Wild Pepper), has the fresh taste of lemongrass because it contains the main active ingredient Citral. In addition to being used to distill essential oils, dried arils are also an important spice in the preparation of some dishes.

Cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry: Citral is obtained from fractional distillation essential oil, which becomes an input material for the semi-synthetic production of a number of important substances, such as Vitamin A, aromatic derivatives used in cosmetics.
