In recent years, litsea cubeba fruit have been harvested a lot to distill essential oils. However, due to the distribution characteristics, the collection is done by local labors with rudimentary tools.

HARVEST
Harvesting season of Litsea cubeba fruit is in July-August and November-December every year; which mainly concentrates in July-August. Litsea cubeba fruit grows scattered on the mountain, so farmers have to cut the whole branch and then harvest the fruit separately. When the membranous fruit changes color from green to purple, it has the highest essential oil content.
DISTILL LITSEA CUBEBA OIL
Distillation equipment uses steam distillation technology, heated through a large-capacity boiler.
The condenser uses beam condenser technology to ensure maximum efficiency. Each 1 ton of litsea cubeba fruit yields about 25-30kg of essential oil.
APPLICATION OF LITSEA CUBEBA OIL IN PRODUCTION
Food industry: Litsea cubeba fruit is also known as moutain pepper, has a fresh taste of lemongrass because it contains the main active ingredient, Citral.
