Product Description

RAW MATERIALS AREA

Lemon Eucalyptus has science name is Eucalyptus citriodora. It is a plant that can be easily cultivated and adapts well to different soil types, as long as they are not waterlogged. It doesn’t need much fertilizer and loves plenty of sunlight, making it perfect for the climate of northern mountainous provinces like Phú Thọ, Hòa Bình, Bắc Giang, and Thái Nguyên in Vietnam.

The wood of the lemon eucalyptus tree is utilized for paper production, while its leaves are harvested for essential oil extraction.

HARVESTING

Leaves can be harvested for the first time after 6 months of planting. Only small outer branches should be cut to allow the tree to continue growing. After two years, the entire tree can be cut back to the trunk to encourage branching from root. Lemon Eucalyptus leaves are harvested 1 to 2 times a year.

DISTILLATION

Extraction method: steam distillation.

Fresh, young leaves without pests or diseases are preferred. Harvesting for essential oil distillation should be done in the morning when there is mild sunlight and the tree is photosynthesizing well. Harvested leaves should be distilled immediately while still fresh and should be finely chopped.

The essential oil, after separation from water, needs to be filtered to remove organic impurities and residual water to achieve the best quality for export.
