RAW MATERIAL AREA

The camphor tree, also known as wild rose, is a woody tree that can be 20-30m tall. The tree trunk is rough and has many longitudinal cracks. The leaves are shiny and smooth, with a waxy surface. When crushed, the leaves have a characteristic camphor smell.

Camphor trees grow in nature a lot. In addition, they are very popular for use as construction trees, planted on both sides of roads because they are strong and resistant to pests and diseases.

The entire plant contains essential oil with the main ingredient being camphor. Among them, essential oils from mature roots and stems have the highest natural camphor content.

HARVEST

The older the camphor tree, the higher the essential oil and camphor content in the essential oil. Often people will harvest mature trees, in which the large trunk wood will be used to make wooden furniture and handicrafts; The tips of branches, leaves, roots, and stumps will be shredded and the essential oil distilled.

DIstillation of camphor essential oil

The distillation equipment uses steam distillation technology and heating through a large capacity boiler.

The condenser uses beam tube condenser technology, ensuring maximum efficiency. Each ton of camphor root wood yields about 33kg of essential oil (3.3%); while the trunk wood yields about 37kg of essential oil (3.7%); However, the camphor content in the essential oil of root wood is higher than that of stem wood (surveyed on the same tree).
