RAW MATERIAL AREA

In Vietnam, tamanu trees are distributed mainly in low mountainous areas, in the Central, Eastern and Southwestern provinces. The tree can grow along the banks of canals and high canals. The tree flowers profusely every year and regenerates naturally mainly from seeds. Each tamanu fruit has 1 seed, which contains oil inside. The oil content in the seeds is about 50-60%.

HARVEST

Tamanu fruits ripen from October to February every year. The farmer harvests the ripe fruit, then dries it and puts it in a machine to break the hard outer shell to get the kernel inside.

DRYING TUMUM SEEDS

After being harvested, the kernel will be white in color. Drying it in the sun for about 3-4 days will become a golden yellow kernel, containing about 50-60% oil content.

COLD PRESSING AND FILTERING OF TAMANU OIL

After drying, tamanu seeds are put into a cold press to get the oil. After pressing, tamanu oil is filtered through coarse and fine filtration steps to remove mechanical impurities.
